The Hindu scripture ‘Srimad Bhagvad Gita’ is the guide and essence of Indian philosophy to the whole world. This 4000 years old dialogue between Lord Shrikrishna and disciple, ace warrior (Veershreshtha) Arjuna is a guiding light in today’s times. This holy text was composed by sage Maharshi Vyas in Bhishma Parva, of Mahabharata on Margashirsha Shudhha Ekadashi also now known as Gita Jayanti.
Several great scholars have written annotations on the Bhagavad Gita, among them, Lokmanya Tilak presented his explanation and study mainly as ‘Doing your work (Karma) without expecting any returns or fruits, i.e. Karmayoga’ in the form of ‘Gita Rahasya’. Geetadharma Mandal is spreading the same vital message as Geeta Dharma over last 95 years.
Spreading the message of Gita Dharma, without any returns or expecting fruits, is national religion (Rashtra Dharma) for all Indians. This important work of nation building and tomorrow’s progressive and prosperous country, we all, who treat Gita as our religion, Gita Dharmi people have to undertake. If everyone decides to give ‘some time for society’, this dream is not far away.
